website: https://www.inverclydetouristgroup.co.uk
Wearing tartan gilets or waistcoats – and red jackets when it is raining – the volunteers offer their services free to all visitors to the area.
They can suggest:
- places of interest to visit;
- activities and events available that day;
- shops to suit your needs.
They can provide you with:
- maps of the area;
- printed self-guided walks;
- information on train, bus and taxi times and prices across Inverclyde, to Largs and Glasgow.
They also have specialist volunteers who are happy to discuss Tartans and Clan history (restricted hours).
Maps and walks can be downloaded from their website [https://www.inverclydetouristgroup.co.uk] or from the banners on the quayside.

Or why not try a short digital walk with audio guided by ITG members. Download the GeoTourist app from their website https://geotourist.com
to a mobile or tablet then scan the QR codes to find a walk.
GPS needs to be on, and a full battery is advised. Mobile data may be used.
