Inverclyde Tourist Group

Inverclyde Tourist Group has been promoting tourism within Inverclyde since 2001.

It is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation which was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2013.

We meet and greet visitors to the area and help them find places of interest and activities within Inverclyde.

We work directly with local venues to support their programmes.

We produce self-guided walks in print and as audio digital tours via the GeoTourist app https://geotourist.com/

We have specialist volunteers who are happy to discuss Tartans and Clan history (restricted hours).

While most of our activity is focused around Greenock Ocean Terminal when larger ships are visiting during the cruise season, we can also be found at:

  • Greenock Oak Mall – larger ship days
  • Doors Open Days – September
  • Gourock Highland Games – May
  • Inverclyde Heritage Fair – May
