Carriages

Food & Drink

Originally Kilmacolm Railway Station, Carriages is now the area’s premier bar and restaurant location serving mouth-watering cuisine and an array of the best beverages including gin, spirits and cocktails.

Carriages is situated on the old Glasgow to Greenock railway line in the beautiful conservation village of Kilmacolm. Nestled beside the cycle track and having undergone major refurbishment in 2019, it has become a favourite destination for cyclists, walkers and food & drink connoisseurs alike.

In the centre of the open-plan lounge is the stunning centrepiece bar which serves drinks to suit every taste; from teas and coffee to the best gins and spirits Scotland can provide. The cocktail menu is filled with old favourites as well as new concoctions. Whether you are in for a relaxing pint or you are out for a Prosecco night with friends, Carriages is the place to be.

The fact that the venue won “Gastro-pub of the Year” in 2022 is a reflection of just how good our cuisine is. Come into the beautiful restaurant and sample the very best of Scottish produce – from Scottish-sourced fillet steak to mouthwatering burgers and seafood, the menu caters for every palate. Enjoy our Sunday Carvery or treat yourself to an Afternoon Tea. Alternatively, if you’re just out for a walk, why not just drop into our relaxing Beer Garden and let your four-legged friend enjoy the ‘Dugs Menu’?

In the heart of Kilmacolm, Carriages really does have something for everyone……
