The Greenock Cut

Outdoor Activity

A cut above the rest…

Clydemuirshiel is Scotland’s largest regional park and is still an undiscovered gem for many keen walkers, ramblers and cyclists. And the Greenock Cut is a significant part of this beautifully, rugged landscape.

With stunning views north to the Highlands and west to the first Highland island, Bute, the Greenock Cut can be readily accessed from various points throughout Inverclyde.

So why not visit the park and our 108 square miles of scenic Scottish countryside to enjoy a walk, run, cycle or some accessible outdoor activities on Castle Semple Loch including paddle sports and sailing.

Or just relax in the park café!

Thinking of coming as a group? Our friendly ranger service and outdoor activity team can help you and your friends make the most of your time in the park whether it is advising on routes or offering a guided service.

A regular bus, every 30 minutes connects with the Overton entrance to the Cut. Buses leave every 30 minutes from Stance 6, Kilblain Street Bus Station, in the centre of Greenock. This changes to every hour on Sundays.
