Port Glasgow
The Port Glasgow 250 Showcase will begin on Monday 1 December and continue until Sunday 14 December, taking place across various locations in Port Glasgow.
We are bringing a close to Port Glasgow’s 250th birthday with one last celebration, showcasing some of the fascinating history and stories in Port Glasgow. We have worked with local organisations, amateur researchers and avid photographers to share their reflections and to celebrate the town.
Taking place over the first two weeks in December, different locations in Port Glasgow town centre will showcase the celebrations that have taken place this year as well as a collection of exhibits and displays by members of the local community. Delve into the world of a fantasy Port Glasgow through a Dungeons & Dragons campaign set in the town, discover some of the memories of local residents in their own words, and relive the demolition of the Goliath Crane through a photography series, and much more.
Locations participating in the Port Glasgow 250 Showcase include 10 Bay Street, Port Glasgow Library and PG25.
The exhibitions will take place during each venue’s normal opening hours.
