Nomination deadline for the 2020/2021 Sports Personality nominations extended to 21st March

The organisers of the 2020/2021 sports personality awards have extended the nomination deadline to Monday 21st March. Chris Jewell from the organisers said, ‘While we have a number of nominations already in, we would like to provide some more time so that no-one misses out on being nominated. The nine categories of award for 2020/21 are the Inverclyde Senior Sports Personality of the Year, Junior Sports Personality of the Year, Disabled Sports Personality of the Year, Coach of the Year, Club of the Year, Team of the Year, School Team of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year (up to age 25) and Adult Volunteer of the Year.
The awards are announced and trophies awarded at the glittering awards dinner scheduled for Friday 13th May in the Greenock Town Hall. Tickets will be available shortly from Smith Sports in West Blackhall Street, Greenock, telephone 01475 888555.
