Scotland meets Jamaica in Canada!

The brainchild of Scottish-Canadian Jason Wilson (Wilson & Swarbrick, Pee Wee Ellis), Ashara presents a joyful blend of Scottish folk, global roots and reggae. Wilson is joined by legendary Jamaican-Canadian guitarist Carl Harvey (Toots & The Maytals), and a rotating cast of award-winning Scottish trad musicians, including Jack Smedley, Ali Hutton and John Somerville, as well as Wilson’s own eclectic Canadian band. Scottish-based Jamaican songstress Subrina Ward appears as a special guest.

‘My Love is like a Red Red Rose’ and ‘54-46 (That’s my Number)’ are among the familiar numbers on the setlist!
