You can get your Christmas celebrations off to a cracker of a start this year at Cardwell Garden Centre.
The festive fun starts on Thursday, November 3 with our Christmas Preview Night between 4pm and 9pm.

Special guest is the man himself, Santa Claus accompanied by one of his elves and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Santa’s Grotto and Carnival will be open from 4pm till 8pm.

There will also be face painting, an Elf Hunt and for the grown-ups, 10% off all Christmas goods, except food and house plants and there will also be other opening night offers.

As well as seasonal food tasting, the Patio Café will be serving meals until 7.30pm and drinks and home baking until 8.30pm.

Entertainment will be provided by the Clydeside Singers and the Salvation Army Brass Band from 6pm.

The Christmas Preview Night is just the start of a host of activities and events at Cardwell during the festive period.

Kids can meet Santa in his Grotto on Saturday and Sunday, November 5 and 6, between noon and 5pm. You can also see Santa every weekend until Christmas Eve between 10am and 5pm.

Santa will also be visiting Cardwell to meet with children every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, between 1pm and 4.30pm in the weeks running up to Christmas Eve. And he’ll be at Cardwell an extra couple of days, on Monday and Tuesday December 19 and 20, between 1pm and 4.30pm. On Christmas Eve, Santa’s Grotto will be open between 10am and 4pm

There’s no need to pre-book a visit to Santa’s Grotto, as it’s first-come-first-served on the day.

Then we move on to Cardwell’s Big Christmas Weekend on November 26 and 27. By this time Santa’s Grotto and Carnival, open from 10am to 5pm, will be in full swing with Santa bringing special guests, Rudolph and his favourite elf between noon and 4pm. There’s also going to a face painter, who is always a big hit with the youngsters.

Visitors to Cardwell can get 10% off all Christmas goods, except food and house plants, along with other special offers this weekend.

There will be seasonal food tasting all weekend with the Clydeside Singers and the Salvation Army Brass Band providing the entertainment.

Cardwell’s retail general manager, Paul Carmichael said: “I’m sure even Santa starts to get excited about Christmas when our festive events start.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to Cardwell, so we can all get into the Christmas spirit.

“There’s a ho-ho-host of activities for youngsters to enjoy and the grown-ups can get all the Christmas trees and decorations, plus a huge selection of Christmas gifts they’ll need.”
