Old Gourock & Ashton Parish Church: 250th Anniversary Family Fun Day

Join the community in celebrating a historic milestone. Old Gourock & Ashton Parish Church is turning 250, and everyone is invited to a massive Family Fun Day at Darroch Park.

​This action-packed afternoon features something for all ages, from high-energy sports and bouncy castles to local markets and live music. Watch local schools compete in a Mini Highland Games, explore a fleet of classic cars and fire engines, or get involved in our flagship competitions.

​Event Highlights:

• ​The Great Gourock Bake-Off: Show off your skills in the “Our Gourock” or “General” categories for a chance to win vouchers up to £50.
• ​Fancy Dress Competition: Categories for Pre-School through P6, with a grand parade at 11:30 am and £180 in vouchers up to be won!
• ​Family Activities: Bouncy castle, face painting, treasure hunt, nature trail, and “Beat the Goalie.”
• ​Entertainment: Live musical performances all day, street theatre, and a Human Fruit Machine.
• ​Food & Drink: Farmers market, various food outlets, and an ice cream van.
