McCaskie’s Café

Food & Drink

McCaskie’s Café has long been established and recognised as a feature of Wemyss Bay. Located opposite the Wemyss Bay Rail and Ferry terminals, it is popular with locals, commuters and tourists alike as a stop off for coffees, snacks and light meals.

Enjoy our comfortable bistro directly across from the ferry terminal and watch the ferries and activity on the River Clyde.

Need to eat or drink on the move or on the ferry? Virtually all of our menu items are available to take away. Our most popular take away food and drinks include teas, coffee, cakes, filled rolls and snacks.

We are privileged to have award-winning produce under our roof, and these are utilised in all of our menus. Do you have a favourite not on our menu? Put in a request and if we can, we will.

Complete traceability on the food we serve

Meat

All McCaskie’s Cafe products are made in the butchers next door. We source 100% Scottish beef – grass fed from two farms renowned for the finest quality beef reared to the highest standard. We produce all our own dry cured bacon, sausages, cooked meats and all steaks, which are also extra matured.

With the unique bonus of having our own butchers we can guarantee complete traceability from farm to plate.

Fish

All our fish, the freshest possible, come from our good friend John Vallance. John Vallance source the freshest and best fish from Glasgow markets. Our haddock is filleted daily.

Coffee

Ovenbird Coffee Roasters – Suppliers of our specially selected “Dead Poet Society” blend of coffee. 100% organic and fair-trade. Our coffee should satisfy the palates of every level of coffee connoisseur.

Wine

Now you can enjoy a great selection of hand-picked wines and we retail most of the wines served in the Café. We only add £6.00 corkage allowing our customers to enjoy great quality wines at great prices.
