14.08.2020

Life in Inverclyde

As the UK reaches peak summer temperatures, The Ramblers have shared 25 coastal walking routes, taking in picturesque trails along the nation’s shoreline

Lunderston Bay to Wemyss Bay in Inverclyde has been highlighted by Ramblers UK in the list published in inews UK.

Setting off from Lunderston Bay,walkers are treated to fine views over the Firth of Clyde, where wild birds visit the fields and shore, and occasionally seals sit on a rock. Ardgowan’s woods lead into views of Inverkip’s sandy beach, while Kip Water offers more wildlife-spotting. You’ll finish at Wemyss Bay – once the summer home of wealthy 18th-century Glasgow merchants, with its splendid Victorian railway station and pier.
