Setting off from Lunderston Bay,walkers are treated to fine views over the Firth of Clyde, where wild birds visit the fields and shore, and occasionally seals sit on a rock. Ardgowan’s woods lead into views of Inverkip’s sandy beach, while Kip Water offers more wildlife-spotting. You’ll finish at Wemyss Bay – once the summer home of wealthy 18th-century Glasgow merchants, with its splendid Victorian railway station and pier.
