Coffees never Far Away

Cycling Route

  • Distance13 Miles
  • Average elevation195m

Difficulty: Medium Difficulty with one large hill

This route is a very enjoyable way to see some stunning quiet country lanes.

Why not start your route by meeting at a local bike friendly café and fuel your legs for the ride ahead! Leave the beautiful village of Kilmacolm and join the National Cycling Network route (NCN) for a short while. Leaving the NCN you then join a delightful climb which takes you deep into the surrounding countryside on peaceful roads. Take your time to take in the views at the summit before you begin your descent. A right hand turn takes you back into some of the nicest roads in the area and brings you to the fascinating and beautiful Quarriers Village. A cycle friendly café in the village offers you the chance to unwind. You can finish by rejoining the traffic free NCN.

Type of bike: Any

What to Bring: The lanes in this area are lined with blackberry bushes, bring a punnet and get foraging.

Places to stop along the way: On this route you’d regret not stopping at one of the many independent cafes in either Kilmacolm or Quarriers Village.
